Started job - WP is trying to contact my employer

I have just started my new job and today I had an e-mail from an HR department saying that WP contacted them and want a conformation of my start date and what my position is. HR asked for my permission to release this information. When I started WP I ticked a box that I don't want them to contact my future employer if I find a job. I am sort of annoying that WP is contacting my employer ignoring my consent. They have done absolutely nothing in helping me.... Do I have to give my permission? What happens if I will not give my consent to release this info? Will they then be pestering me?

They don't need your consent.
I know that but they still need my permission so my employer can release the info about me. If I will not give my permission, will then WP is not going to get their incentive for me finding a job?0 -

They won't get their incentive so withhold your permission. Expect to be rang a few times but just hang up after saying "sorry i'm at work too busy bye.".:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

You are fortunate that your employer has asked for your permission before releasing any info, most don't.0

Wrote back to HR and said that I withhold my permission. WP employment consultant is not going to be pleased. HR dep attached a copy of WP e-mail and I noted that e-mail came from not my personal WP consultant but from someone else in their office who never worked with me but who called herself my employment consultant.0

Just returning to my thread as need some further advice. WP is harassing me by calling me on my mobile, landline and sending texts. They are demanding an answer if everything is okay with my work. I am also getting texts from someone who was a benefit adviser on their WP and who I only briefly met twice but declined their advice at that time. Please could you tell me if there are any ways to stop their harassment? They are now calling me every day and their calls are very long like 5 minutes at a time which is very annoying. I guess it's their time to claim 1000 pounds for "finding" me a job.0

Get a call blocking app, and put their number on the blacklist is probably the easiest way of stopping them.0

The problem is that they are using different numbers or even withheld numbers.0
