Someone ought to quietly shop 'em to HMRC. Sounds like an audit is long overdue...
  • Brief update, FOS were excellent and suggested to III that they should restore lost units. III initially refused this request, then changed tack under slightly more pressure from FOS.

Net result, units lost (calculated on basis suggested above, thanks again masonic) were placed in my ISA account and £300 compensation from III placed in Trading account.

Once that was complete, I asked to transfer my ISA away, which has now been done, with no exit fees as account less than 12 months old.

Brilliant! Well done for your perseverance. As we all know, mistakes happen but this shower seems to have made it a lifestyle choice. Shame it took nearly a year to sort out.

Meanwhile, enjoy your new, stress fee life, I know I am. ;)
