I think you are likely to get a strike if you don't want to phone eBay and get this sorted.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Yes I have sent the seller a message advising transaction code I even sent them a screen shot of the payment page (taking out my bank details etc)
I will give them a few days and hopefully hear something back.
It is a straightforward landline number 0800.... go to customer help, choose account safety and you will get a password to contact them. They are really helpful in Dublin. Good luck0 -
I phoned them, thanks to those who recommended it, they have changed the system since last time I rang, you can now request a call back - no more waiting on the phone for half an hour.
They suggested I cancel my payment, personally I can't see how that will help as if the seller escalates the case it will then show as I haven't paid and a strike would be warranted. I said I would then have no hope of getting the item and they proceeded to tell me that there were many lovely things on ebay and they were sure I would find something else.
They did assure me that they could see I had tried to pay and also had a record of my contact with the seller advising them of that so any strike would be removed.
I will wait to see what happens, the seller might not have seen my message yet, it is only fair to give them time to reply.0 -
You can cancel the first Paypal payment and then send the payment again using the buyer has not paid link.
Something has gone wrong somewhere. Tbh, one strike is not going to make a difference unless you do not pay again, the minimum requirement for marking someone to not bid is 2 NPB strikes.0 -
But also, when you cancel the payment, the email will get the buyers attention. You do not say whether it is a big or small seller. You can set up the non-paying thing so that it automatically sends them out but the email from Paypal will get their attention.0
