There isn't a 'Grace Period' point in the newer POPLA appeal I linked just above your post (relevant for postal drive-away PCNs like ParkDirect try to slip past POPLA). I would have thought it was pretty clear NOT to use the old version of a POPLA appeal, at the start of this thread, as it is not 'great' any more as it's months old. Things change.

That's why I posted a new version and said: 'Just to add to this thread in case any Newbies try to copy the 'fairly' old wording of the above POPLA appeal, we have newer wording always being updated on page one of the forum so use the 'Forum Jump' and click 'GO' to get to page one'. You will then find the NEWBIES thread with links to newer POPLA examples - like the one I posted above your post. There is a 'ParkDirect Uxbridge' version I think, linked in 'How to win at POPLA' in post #3 of the Newbies thread, which you could adapt and also add some of the points in the link I gave above (if yours was only sent by post a week or so after the event, you must certainly add the final appeal point in the newer link I gave, about the fact PPCs can't issue drive-away PCNs by post as it breaches their DVLA KADOE contract).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD
  • 3 months later and finally a respone from POPLA appeals. success story- they said they didnt bother reading the whole appeal but allowed appeal based on parking charge not representing a genuine pre-estimate of loss.

    thanks again guys :)
  • Hi all
this is my first post so sorry if asked before.

I have received a parking charge for from Parkdirectuk I pulled on to this ground and sat in my car for 3 mins on the phone to my daughter who I had dropped off at the high street by the bus lane so she could look for a carpark to use. . I did spot a person that i thought was on there phone but they were obviously taking a picture of my car. they did not come over to me or anything, what would be the best thing to do ?

there is obviously someone in the shops or flats who comes out and takes pictures of any cars that come in or out of this place

    many thanks Terry
