APCOA parking fine

I bought a parking ticket £1.20 to park at work (L&D hospital). I was issued a ticket ( by the private company APCOA) as the ticket was displayed face down. They have fined me saying I should have displayed it clearly and there was no way of checking the details on the ticket. I appealed saying there is no sticky area to securely fasten it to the window and it must have blown over. Also we are all employees in this carpark and they could have gone to security to get my extension number and I would have gone to my car and shown it to the attendant. They have turned down the appeal. Should I just ignore them now? They sent me a POPLA form to fill out to appeal again but should I bother? The contract sign on the fence says I should display it clearly but what bugs me is that I DID pay to park whilst I was at work. I still have the ticket.
Please advise, I would really appreciate it. This is my first post ever on a forum!
