They really mean business this year.
They took being cheap but nasty as far as it can go.
Being nice means they can charge more.0 -

You're 50% right.
I always found Ryanair cheap - they led the way of low-cost airlines in Europe and without Michael O'Leary's vision we'd still be paying extortionate prices.
I've never found them nasty.Far from it - I booked every ticket and flew every flight following the clearly explained T&Cs on their website and never had a problem.
The flights were always on time if not early - hence their reputation as Europe's most reliable airline.
For these reasons alone FR carried 87.5 million satisfied customers last year.
Of course there are always idiots who don't believe they should follow clear instructions - and the poor saps rightly paid heavily for their stupidity. Why should everybody else be inconvenienced for their laziness ?0 -

I agree, I flew with them lots of times without any issues. I always received excellent value, every flight was on time, the aircraft were modern and clean and I felt that the terms and conditions were fair.
I just found that the prices were creeping up and reached the point where I just switched to British Airways, and I've stuck there now because of my executive club membership. I was one of those customers who was quite happy with Ryanair's abrupt nature and suspect that their new fluffy image will come at the cost of good value.0
