You don't have much interest in her as you have no idea about her life , eh ? :)
A photo frame ? A couple of funky wine glasses ? Failing that flowers are good , not with a strong scent just in case .
The word "dilemma" comes from Greek where "di" means two and "lemma" means premise. Refers usually to difficult choice between two undesirable options.
Often people seem to use this word mistakenly where "quandary" would fit better.

Is there nothing she seems to take more interest in when its spoken about? Or nothing she has spoken about doing?

Everyone really is different. Personally while I would appreciate being given flowers (and theres nothing saying people HAVE to get me anything) I do think they're a waste of money (although I am more talking about those from florists - supermarkets usually have some decent priced ones).

    Whats your budget?

What about a pamper day at a local salon? Or getting her hair done (you could perhaps go with her and get to know her a bit better? may not be an option but I thought couldnt hurt to suggest it - would possibly help with future gift ideas if you get to know her a bit! )
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride

Thanks for all the helpful suggestions. As I don't know her well enough to know her likes and dislikes (I have spoken to her lots but always seems to be in a busier environment and she is a very quiet person so I haven't been able to really get to know her properly) I have decided to do as someone suggested and treat them both to a meal out. I wouldn't say I don't have an interest in her and we do get on well but we just never seem to have talked about more personal things. Also, not that I have ever said what do you want me to get you for xmas/b'day etc, but if the subject is even touched upon she just says that I don't need to get her anything, which doesn't really help me much!
