Flights via ebookers?

Hi all
I'm looking to book a flight to Auckland then on to Sydney, and ebookers are coming out around £200 cheaper than direct with Qantas for the same flights. I've never booked with them before, so can anyone advise if they are any good?
The other thing is do you get your proper reference number so that you can online to the airline's website and select seats, order special meals etc?
Thanks!
Ps I know Qantas aren't the cheapest, but my partner is a very nervous flyer so has specifications on who she will & will not fly with!

eBookers have been around for a very long time.

Ebookers is one of the very few 3rd party sites that I trust for airline tickets.

Just check the fare rules between the Ebookers and Qantas quotes. You may find the the cheaper ones are more restrictive in terms of changes but as long as you are fine with that then I would have no problem booking with them. You should get a proper reference number (known as the PNR) as soon as you book.

As the above posters have said, eBookers are fine. When you book you'll get your Qantas booking reference and be able to log on to their website.

Thanks. I'll probably book with them then. I usually go direct to the airline as it's cheaper but a £200 saving has won me over.

Be very aware of additional costs: you may find that once you have added on the fee for using a credit card and so forth you do not save anything.

And don't forget to look for cashback opportunites via sites like Quidco and Topcashback.

Yep, I can get 1.9% cashback and the credit card cost is £25, so the cashback would cancel out the fee!
