Virgin increasing monthly contracts.

Hi, husband and I just received letters from Virgin Mobile saying our monthly bill is going to increase by 2.5% from July.
We are both on a 24 month contract, mine expires in October this year. I specifically remember asking when I took out the contract that the price was fixed for the whole two years which was confirmed at the time.
Can I insist they cannot increase the price, or would I have to cancel the contract?

They all raise the price occasionally, linked to inflation. It will be in the contract terms and conditions. Next time, don't sign up for 24 months, then you'll be free to change providers for a better deal.0

Been on a 12 month sim only deal with three for two years now and not a single increase! When I had 12/18/24 month contracts with 02 & Voda prices would always go up usually twice during my contract term!0
