MrsMP.. it is better her appearing to not be fazed by it, she will however be terrified.. but playing it cool is far more manageable than turning on the waterworks and hysteria.. she will likely have a meltdown when it is all over and questions answered.. she can't change what is happening so is just plodding through.. just keep making sure she knows what is happening every step and it is what she wants to do.. ((hugs)) for you all

Last side of the border underway... DD1 finally brought my Christmas present round and OHs and his fathers day present.. :) It's very nice but it all screams clutter.. :p I'm not ungrateful at all, just aware I NEED nothing but space and everything takes it up.

I took the dogs for a very long walk and have got home to find DH already here, so I won't be looking at the list after all today. Just having another cuppa with 3 biscuits, and have assembled the cake (which looks very homemade!). Papers and relaxing in the garden then.

pigpen, thank you what you are saying makes perfect sense, and im glad shes not crying and wailing but i just worry. Dh parents house is only just round the corner whereas my parents (split up) are both a fair distance away, so the inlaws are/have been been a big part of our lives. it was really hard losing fil and DH did not cope well so im worrying for his mum and him. i have got her to confirm to the macmillian nurse and the hospital consultant she is happy for me to be at all appts and to be included in convos so that i can re-explain anything she misunderstands or forgets or generally just support her.

mrs mp you are a godsend to that lady, you really are :A I agree with pigpen when the shpoop hits the fan people are amazingly calm. The wobble may come later, after all that needs to be done, is done. Best wishes to all of you X

We've been to swimming lessons - I rarely take him it's usually MIL, so it's nice to see the difference in him since we last swam together (Easter hols :)) we've had dinner, and he's just declared he's still hungry. Want them in bed in 30min so I think I'll go dig the yoghurts out...

I've cleaned up after dinner so I'm staying on top of things!

_party_ Ironing all done and away! It only took an hour in the end, I love ironing short sleeves shirts as opposed to their long sleeved, double cuffed brethren ;)

Two stroppy step-kids are here and one very peed off DH. DSS didn't bother to buy him a Father's Day card and he's feeling very wounded. DSD is full of her usual attitude and backchat. Not a happy Whizz household tonight!

I am showered and ready to relax for the evening. Once I've cooked three different dinners, tidied the kitchen, bossed my boys into the shower and then into bed. YAWN! :)

Big hugs for both you and your MiL Mrs MoneyPenny.

Both downstairs rooms are looking lovely, and the shower room is sparkley, so today feels rather satisfying. One load out on the line, another in the WM and we'll change our bed and do the last of the stuff in the laundry basket in the morning. Then it's onwards and upwards towards the do on Thursday evening. A ham looks a bit like a roast armadillo, doesn't it?
    Better is good enough.

    *whispers* it's all quiet here

DD is full of snot. Can't decide if its a summer cold or hayfever. Starting to feel a bit itchy and throaty myself *wonders if pollen count is high tonight*.

I will have my cuppa while the littlies nod then might mop myself into the garage - bit of filing to do (in tray is collapsing under the weight...) but what a lovely evening - blue skies here at the mo...

Then I will make my pack up for tomorrow. Ooh, and must change my alarm! MIL is usually here for my early start, but instead littlies are booked at brekki club, which means an hour extra in bed ;)

And, since they owe me time, I don't have to stay late, and I can go collect my new specs tomorrow aft!

After that I'll be going to Bedfordshire! My eyes are sleepy (but not sticky! Woot!)
