Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Glad to see so much flying going on - well done all and keep it up!
I've hoovered and mopped the hard floors, washed up and put away, taken stuff back for a refund, visited my mother so now up to date on a whole load of things I have zero interest in
Paid stuff in 15, via the post office to return a parcel. Cricket tonight but it's looking a tad dark atm.
DS2 happy with how his exam went, only 2 to go now.
See you for a bit of flying when I get back at about 3pm.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Twenty pairs of shoes disposed of
Some are past their best so are already in the bin, but a few pairs have never even been worn
so they're bagged for the CS. I also had a quick sort through of my wardrobe and got rid of about 15 items. I've made enough space in the wardrobe to house the yarn cabinet which has been in the floor of the boys room for months and months
I feel as though I'm on a roll so I'm going to tackle my chest of drawers and the underbed drawer of iniquity next0 -
Electric went while we were out  (key meter) so had to go out again for money and electric. This means the DW and WM are both still on  Airer is out in the back garden, it's stopped trying to rain but is very overcast so at least on the airer it's quicker and easier to get in if the weather changes.
I've been to my parents to discuss the cost of the carand they have agreed to pay thank goodness, so that's booked in for the end of the month.
I've picked up all the girls carp from the front room, swept the floor, had lunch and now just having a drink and watching Miss Marple, I like Miss Marple

Make that 2 G&T's, Fizz - slimline tonic for me, please, then it's fine ....
... and mine's a double, ta ever so.
I've finished the superking which looks and smells a lot better than it did on Wednesday morning when the lodger left. I discovered another niffy culprit - the blue and white striped duvet cover, despite being washed, was to blame. Another wizz through the WM with biologicals should sort it out; if not, it's going in the bin. Shower room next while OH makes the lunch and then I'll tackle the double.
In the midst of all this flying I've found the curtain hooks I wanted in the attic and had time to have a full on argument with the horrible neighbour. I've managed to keep a lid on that simmering pot for 21 years by being super-polite but the minute I challenged her about something really dangerous she went for me. Shame, really, but I can't keep on being her doormat. (Albeit, a clean one, obviously, becuase I'm a proper Flylady now.)
Regarding the June Challenge, when OH and I are both struggling with creative stuff our mantra is, 'Everything looks like failure in the middle.' So, it being half way through June, I'm not starting to beat myself up yet.Better is good enough.0 -
Regarding June challenge: I am sitting here with a cuppa and a biscuit. BUT just the one biscuit not the whole pack.
Hard floors mopped, cake made and cooling, another dog walk beckons, then that there flylady list!Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Ooh, sounds like we're having a cheeky Monday PM partay
I remember a TV chef saying that when his wife was pregnant she really missed her pre-dinner G&Twithiceandaslice so he used to dip the rim of a glass in gin, and fill it with tonic etc and it gave her enough of a ginny whiff that she didn't feel she was totally depriving herself. May be a good tip for those of us who are trying to cut down for the June challenge?! *looks in mirror*
Chest of drawers sorted through and a good half black bag of tut chucked. Drawer of Iniquity also tidied.
Onto the DVD cupboard now; we're overflowing and there are a fair few duplicates in there which can be removed. I'd be tempted to alphabetise them if I didn't think the girls would just muck them all up again0 -
In again, Thanks all xx

putting supporting mil all she needs on the june challenge lists is now proving rather ironic as the docs appt a couple of weeks ago was a bit of a game changer!!! went with her last week to see a consultant and have a bioposy done:(, tomorrow im going with her to have a body scan, following week lung capacity tests and chest xrays then we are talking quite major surgery. must say she is taking it all in her stride and doesnt seem phased by any of it, my worry is its really not sinking in how ill she seems to be
hugs good wishes and positive vibes where needed
off to do something from the lists, and try to keep up
