Flights to Myanmar (Burma)

Does anyone know (or been) to Myanmar (Burma)?

We are looking at best prices, as we have been looking on Tripadvisor but it seems to be quite old info?

We are looking at a trip possibly in November?

I've not been but I'm thinking of going next year. I know there are plenty of flights from Bangkok. I remember seeing adverts when I was there for a cheap airline (can't remember the name but it wasn't Air Asia).

Bangkok Airways fly to Rangoon from BKK and Air Asia from Don Muang. Both are excellent carriers. There are also a couple of domestic Myanmar airlines but I have no idea how reliable they are.

If you want a direct connection the Bangkok Airways would be the better choice as they do through ticketing with most international airlines. If you are doing a stopover in Bangkok then Air Asia will be cheaper.
