Well to update this as we all expected POPLA upheld my appeal and have advised MET to cancel the ticket!
Big big Thankyou to everyone who's commented or added to this area of the site. I hope a few more of their victims read this thread to see how simple it is to appeal and get the correct result.

Oh and to be clear, MET Didn't show any evidence or even send a copy of the invoice in to POPLA.0

That's what they do now, when they see a decent appeal to POPLA they throw in the towel (TITT!).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It seems so. The last time someone was hit for a bogus invoice was years ago and then it was just ignore it. So glad the information is out there how to fight these things now.0
