When we start out on the Debt-Free Wannabe trail we do loads of big "stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the Gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free...
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

I am lucky in that I am debt free (took a lot of effort though) so for me it's all about keeping on the straight and narrow.
Advice I would give, ask questions! "Will it save me money?" "Do I need it?" "Can I get a better deal elsewhere?" Questions can save you ALOT of money, thus avoiding heavier debt levels.

LSDs (need to buy milk but that's it)
Take poochy out for walks
Surveys to check
Free postcode lottery to check
A MOUNTAIN of ironing to do!
Type up a transcript for the dreaded dissertation - I have one of those pedal things to help!
All meals from stores
Cancelled a DD/ membership I didn't need anymore
Hoovering to do
I have next week off work, so I'm looking forward to a little relaxation as well as working on the dreaded dissertation. My car is making a horrible banging noise but I can't afford to take it to the garage until I'm paid so will not be driving it (saves on petrol anyway!).
The next couple of weeks until payday are going to be tight but I'm determined to make the money I have last until pay day - before I would have just put it on the credit card but not anymore :T

Hello everyone
I know I don't usually post on here but you are all right, it is the small things that matter and really make a difference so I have been racking my brains and come up with:
Been up to the city and spent nothing not even car parking.
Made lunch and dinner from stores
Made lunches x 2 for when I'm at work tomorrow and Monday.
Charged up kindle and camera using free electricity (solar panels)
Made a menu plan for the next two days.
Off to watch some telly before I have an early night as up at 4.30 in the morning

Hello all,
Having an unusual weekend as OH is really poorly and has been in bed (unheard of in 24+ years together).
May have to admit that he does actually do quite a lot of stuff.....
Anyway, was glad of the rain and slightly cooler temps this morning and got on with some batch cooking (as well as budget shop veg bargains son also came home with 2 caulifowers and a large bag of mushrooms - love freebies
). Have made 3 large curries and some pastie fillings.
Otherwise have been doing laundry, dog walking x3 ! and general tidying up.
Made a list and did some shopping (didn't need much food but did need other essentials such as toilet paper - had been using kitchen roll for the last 24 hours due to bad planning
- not good for the drains I expect).
Really wanted to do prep some things for selling but am too tired now (and will be up at 6 with the woofers).
Also have a MOUNTAIN of ironing - it's not going anywhere.
Now I am going to sit and knit and watch TV (not football!!).
Best wishes to all x0 -
- Sold 2 things on ebay & paid the £37 straight off my credit card.
- Bought "nice" Saturday night tea from morrisons instead of eating out.
- Did debt update as we're halfway through the year.
- Bought a couple of bits from screwfix to repair a window (hoping to save future costs)
- Plan to list as many things on ebay tomorrow with the 100 free listings.
- Possibly pop to a car boot sale tomorrow to snap up some bargains.0
