Morning guys  thanks for starting us off bagpuss!
Hurrah to the weekend, but it hasn't been as relaxing as I had thought as we have unexpectedly had dgd since Thursday, she's a treasure but on the go constantly! We then had to cancel our plans to go to a mini festival yesterday (at wealthy friends who have bands in their field every year) saved £15 & petrol so every cloud....
Plasterer finished our hallway yesterday :j The rest of the house, of course, is now a bomb site!
moomin good luck with the race for life!
princess_pea good luck with tightening the belt over the next couple of weeks!

Hello all,
Quick update. Froogal - love that username :rotfl:
Dear hubbie is Really ill. It's cooler here again today, but still very warm (I am in vest top) he is tucked up on sofa fully clothed and wrapped in a blanket!
So I am doing double jobs this weekend. Have walked dogs x 3, made 12 pasties, big slow cooker bolognese, two loads of laundry line drying, changed beds, swept and vacumed. Should really cut grass and hedge but am still not feeling 100% so it will have to be done another day.
Have had a NSD and the beer bill this weekend is negligible
(I did have a cold one this afternoon but OH is on water - as I said he Really Is Ill!).
Well done to the Race for Life participants. I have much admiration.
Hope you are all having a good DFW weekend x0 -
Had a lovely weekend, but had some spends which I could have done without. It is very difficult to completely stop living though. This month has been very tight due to income being slightly lower along with some bills going up and a car repair to pay for. Plus the football, father's day, our wedding anniversary and DD going to a birthday party (present needed) equals I'm expecting to go further into my overdraft instead of paying some off this month. A bit gutted, but will try to ensure the damage is limited and hopefully redress next month.
Some of the weekend's small MSE things I've done:
All meals from stores
Walked to swimming lesson and into town (yesterday)
Got lift to friend's last night for football, so taxi only needed to get home
Went for a lovely walk and to the park today for just the price of parking (£1). I even filled a bottle of water to take with us so not tempted to buy a drink while we were out.
My house insurance is up for renewal in a few weeks, so I've been getting some quotes. I should be able to half my cost, I'm hoping to pay in one go rather than monthly as the APR rates are massive (never bothered to even look at these before).
Prepared all packed lunches for tomorrow
Two loads of washing at 30°, may even managed a third before the end of the day.
Checked bank
Checked postcode lottery
That's about it for now, I've got a very careful week ahead of me, I hope I don't quaver.SPC # 348 2014-£169.07/2015 - £156.89
