Which Broadband package?

I'm considering getting broadband at home (have no internet access at mo) but who do I choose???
I've heard so many negative things about most providers so have no idea where to start.
I have access at work so don't want anything too expensive or fancy at home but also need it to be idiot proof & reliable.
Any recommendations????
I have Sky TV so was edging towards them...

Not really an easy question to answer as it depends what you want.

The main place that most people here will point you to is thinkbroadband.

You should also read Martin's article here.

I am pretty much in your situation and I have just plumped for broadband myself. I have gone for the option mentioned in my previous post here. Given that you mention price as an important point, I guess it may interest you.

Alternatively, there is my other cheap recommendation here.

As people have pointed out in those posts, sometimes service can be an important point. However, I figure when trying it out for the first time that I'd rather be annoyed spending £5 per month for a 12 month contract than annoyed after spending £20 a month.

    Good luck.

I'm with Zen who are fabulous (they came top in a Which report). They are not the cheapest, but it's only a one month contract and the customer services people are great.
