I confess I have had to buy fuel for the woodstove today. Not any chopped yet and its freezing.
Sparks reduced bargains were £22 and we got 1x mince 2 x chickens (whole for roasting), 2x posh chipolatas, 2x hake for two portions, 2x fish (cannae remember), 2 x yogs and some fish terrine, and some full priced bread for lunch. OK so its probably not the cheapest shop in the world but most of the chicken etc was 2.25 each.
Walked mutts in sunshine but its bitter.
Off to freeze the goodies and relook at the meal plan.
Also got some staples from Mr A - £6.50 including dug fud, found shampoo in the unpacking of the cases so woop that was a result.
its the small things after all,
Petrol £25

I'm not growing anything
My aim for the garden is to keep it tidy so someone will buy it, which doesn't involve me growing half dead straggly tomatoes in it, as usual
:rotfl:
Once we get our new house though I'll be all over those seed catalogues for next year and coming to you for advice:j :j

Lots of 20p veg from ooop when raiding the free pallets. Rock and roll friday night here. Spent £5.60 and got loads of fresh stuff so that's sorted.
Soup is on the stove and mince and spag bog - last roast chook bones are also bubbling away.
Do like a bit of batch cooking.
Did 3 hours gardening today. Lots of wee snowdrops popping their heads up in the garden (which were last years going in the bin snowdrops. They had a wee disease so we couldn't do anything but dump them so I read up a bit and treated them and seems I got it right!
Cheery anytime - this year I think I'm going to concentrate on a few staples like onions and leeks, tatties, spinach, tomatoes and courgettes, maybe some peas and sweetcorn - the things we largely buy lots of throughout the year.
I did grow too much this year but then again no courgettes or tomatoes left a few tatties and onions and leeks. spinach is well harvested and sulking but coming back. Lets just hope its a better year for tomatoes.
I'm only growing bush ones as the others are too much hard work and drive me crazy.
the physalis was easy - i always call that syphalis fruits - which I blame entirely on dyslexia not a dirty mind.
Hounds results came back, its not cancer cyst growth and a few options to treat but its in a tricky area. As the vet said - because he's such a waggy dog there may be issues giving him surgery as the mass is at the base of his tail stem.

They are L thank you hope you and yours are all fine and dandy. A blowy sleety cold day here but the stove is still in from last night so the kitchen isn't arctic.
Second day of my weekend today - a bit of a jaunt into town for some bits and bobs and a walk (wrapped up).
House needs a serious tidy up and there's washing on. Must get back into flylady.
