It was adequate RT - hope your meals are more interesting than mine at the moment.

Getting sorted for leaving again! Friday/Sat off hopefully!

Off again?!? - you are quite the bohemian traveller these days!:D

Our meals - soup & sandwiches for lunch & dinner - nothing to write home about - making full use of our pocket toastie maker though!

Give pups the elder a good cuddle from me:)

this week 7 hours wombleness and 9x4 gardenness = lots of hours.

Peedie has asked if haggis might be a better chimney sweep.......

    :) glad of tomorrow off.

Although its off at home off not off work will need to do some wombling work. I keep repeating, its only three months.

I definitely vote for Haggis as chimney brush :D Peedie is, er, a little more portly and might get stuck and that would be most undignified.

Don't forget to have a rest yourself lass! Xx
  • Morning lands - we are officially not at the garden today and tomorrow. Lets see how that pans out.

Lots of chores to do today.

Shopping, fuel, cleaning out those pesky hens chopping logs and lots of inside chores too.

    :)

    First though a cuppa.

  • Phoned dr re dodgy knee/leg and have appointment now. Although told off for not phoning earlier in week. Whoops but the mutt was sick and work was bonkers.

    Checked freezer.

Two chickens, two packs salmon, three bits fish and some assorted bits like rice/couple meals for MR me.

Taken a chicken out thus starts the meal planning.

Frozen rice into a meal sized portion for later in the week.

Large packet of ham can turn eggs into omlettes or pasta sauce so thats out too.

Packet sausages to turn into stew too.

Trout and herring cooked could transform into lunches.....as could some wraps in fridge.

packet of wraps will form a meal too. dug up a couple chicken breast cooked (piri piri)x 2 will sort that too.

  • Just balance transferred money from higher CC (£1000) to 15 months interest free on my lower interest card. Mutt spends, holiday spends and car spends are now interest free to pay off.

Gives me a bit of a breather. Its been unexpectedly expensive few weeks.

DS owes me £140 for a lesson (not gardening lol) we've agreed he'll pay that off monthly. Now its also interest free.

Trying to keep the spends down to enjoy more holiday nonsense.

Must go look for more free wood today. Got 5 pallets on Tuesday night. Must get them chopped today and clean out the fires.

    LOVE the meal plan Pips!

Great idea for using up the ham - several packs in our freezer - ham omelette is the way to go!

After a docs appt, OH & I have suddenly found our diets on opposite ends of the spectrum so everything that didn't fit the new strange way of eating went in the freezer!

Our freezer is now packed to the gills so an audit & meal plan needs to be hashed out!

Weird freezer tip for the day - frozen bags of kale or spinach can be smashed while frozen & added straight to pasta sauce! Saves the effort of chopping!

LOVE IT!!!!! You can do the same with parsley :)

The Dr gave me a row for not getting in last week. whoops just been chaos.

Hope you're both good. So weird being here today, not been in the house for what feels like two weeks at least.

Mr Me has requested to accompany me on the food shop so that's shifted to tomorrow.

    I think he's keeping a keen eye on me:rotfl:

Although I don't know why all of the meat in the freezer is reduced adn I'm trying to be a good girl.
