Ok so I've not been paid and I've around £300 left in the bank.

I've used the CC a bit over the lead up to the festives to tide things over, I bought a bit of easy sawdust logs for the visitors coming and also pay for DS's chums holiday so I can't pay that all off and need to remind them to pay the money asap. They will but are slow and I said it was OK for a wee while. So I need to pay some towards that 598.30 first time since we left up north I've not been able to clear it totally so that needs watching with an eagle eye.

Bad pippi needs a job methinks.

DD is still off term and so needs no money until she's back that's the deal, she's down in NZ at the moment.

So invoice is in for work and waiting paid.
Money for holiday is waiting to come in.

DD's are out for phone and mob (thank you moomin) and I've upped our call package as I'm using more minutes than I thought i would on the land line (no mob signal in the house, although I've an app for through the wifi, its still not great)

£138 council tax bill to pay for the flat which is mine from earlier, long saas story.

So I guess its £100 to the CC
£138 to the council tax or shall I be mean and ask if I can split it over 3 months.

And hope I get paid soon eh?

Look for a job is also on this list I need to ring the local snowdrop place again I sent them an email before xmas. And look through job centre.

Might declutter the book/dvd shelves and do a bit of music magpie too and that might pay for the extra fuel over xmas.

I'm doing Dry January so no worries on the wine spends :)

Shopping for food £48.98 for DS as he's into exams and stuff so I spent our food money on him.

I also snagged a tonne of bargains at Mr M just after NY which was mainly meat/fish/bread and came to £3.96

52.94 on food (mostly not mine)
£48.50 on petrol (mostly used to go down to Ayr but I've some left)

Hoping to only need £100 for food max (DD is back so I'll prob do a small food parcel for start of term)

And hoping only to use £100 petrol.

So its not great, but its not exactly dreadful is it.

    Cupboards are fairly full
Wood stash is growing but largely needing dried off so looking to see if I can snag pallets anywhere local or waste wood
Invoice is waiting so should arrive soon
Holiday money from DS chum should arrive soon

We need oil, lets not think about that one yet. Poor Mr Me has already had a heart attack from the council tax deciding to give us a great xmas pressie.

All heating is off and being used frugally when needed as its also what does the hot water (the oil) so we need to make sure its used only when needed.

A walk in the woods is on the cards I think for a bit of dryish easy to carry wood eh?

Need more chook food. c £16
They might need to eek it out with a bit of value spaghetti pasta until I'm paid.

  • Mini meal plan

    Eating from cupboards and freezers
    Lots of soup

Mooomin would be proud I hope. I know its a bit shonky but its a plan.

Himselfs off with a packed lunch

I've a dodgy advocado to eat and a pretty ropey looking banana to maybe turn into something smushy on toast.

Lunch will be a combo of those with toast or something. Himself has a packed lunch.

Fish out for tea 10p and 15p each I'm going crazy later probably a light fish soup with some barley. Or barley and steamed fish.

Ahhhh Pippi, I'm having the same credit card issue as yourself this month, we will get there :)
  • That would be fab, thank you - if you do get hold of some, let me know and I'll send you some dosh for it and my Freepost address :)

Horse is behaving (okay, he did elbow me in the face when I was picking out a front foot this morning, but that was an accident and if I'd been standing the right way round he wouldn't have been able to do it!), muck heap isn't - the barrow sank into it this morning, I engaged the wrong set of muscles to tug it out and now have a really sore lower back :(

  • Pippi, you jinxed me!! Got back from town, having seen the vet and the pharmacist (who took one look at me and said he thought I was probably going to need something prescription-strength for my back), to find the blooming horse back next door again - and today he really didn't want to be caught!!!
