fresh start finance HELP NEEDED PLEASE

I had a phone call from them today which I thought couldn't come at a better time as I have 2 catalogue bills which I'm astruggling with at first I though great really helpful then I got suspicious after I was pressurised into giving my details now before I knew it I was signed into a plan with a 14 day calling off period. I then read some threads on here about them and elsewhere and immediately regretted the desicion. I read that I needed to write a letter to cancel. I am going to phone them tomorrow and tell them I don't want their help anymore but I'm worried that they'll say no and they have my bank details what do I do!!!!??
Any information will be greatly appreciated thank you :)

Phone them, tell them, follow it up with a letter confirming cancellation and tell your bank to cancel any direct debt, again confirmed in writing.

My first call would be to my bank then, phone them look for an email address and email and write. What details did they take account or long number ? If long number cancel card request a new one. Maybe worth a letter and email to your bank also stating you no longer give authority to them to withdraw funds.

    Your address

    Today's date

    Dear Xxxx,

I am writing to terminate our agreement within the cooling off period. Please confirm to me in writing that you have not, and will not, set up any payment authorities from my account and that you confirm the termination of the contract.

    Yours faithfully,

    Xxxxxx

Then send it recorded delivery to the address on the contract. You can't just deal with this by phone, you need to do it in writing. Hand written is find.

They can't say no, the cooling off period is statutory, but you must cancel in writing.

FCA rules say that all such contracts must be in writing, so if they haven't sent you a contract to sign that you have already returned then you aren't even in any form of contract with them yet.

Even if you were you have a legal right to cancel in the 14 days which they cannot refuse.

    Cancel in writing.
