Hi
I'm thinking about getting a 1 month rolling contract with Mobile Phones Direct and would be interested to hear your opinion.
It's 30 min, 30 texts and 30 MB of data for £2.25/month, which suits me as I'm a light user.
I've never heard of this company before. Are they reliable? What's their customer service like?
Cheers

The contract will be with the network, not with MPD.
Don't forget to check TCB/quidco0 -

You can find some information (very little) if you search the board:
Any views on shebang and their cheap SIM only tariff?
shebang mobile any good? assistance please0 -
You could save yourself 45p per month, and avoid the hassle of a contract, by using Three's 321 PAYG SIM. It's 3p per minute for calls, 2p per text message and 1p per MB of data... You will need a 3G compatible phone.mapleleaf1010 wrote: »It's 30 min, 30 texts and 30 MB of data for £2.25/month, which suits me as I'm a light user.
There is no need to top up every month, so as a light user it might be even cheaper. I use one of their PAYG SIMs in a remote alarm installation and provided I make a test call from it every month or two to keep the SIM active (networks tend to disconnect SIM cards that are not used to make at least one call or text every 6 months or so), it will last me years on one £10 top up.

It's worth saying that Shebang use the same '3' network.Frozen_up_north wrote: »0
