It was sent via my Hermes and will cost me the same to send back as it did for her to send as there's actually not much difference in the weight and my Hermes are quite generous with the weight limits.
I'm happy to send them all back I don't think any are as described I think my mum was just trying to get something positive out of it!

I don't think you can reasonably expect a baby mirror on a secondhand item not to be scratched. I've seen loads but never seen a used one without scratches. A baby mirror that's ever been played with or cleaned will inevitably have multiple surface scratches: they just go like that.sweetpotato wrote: »and seperately I bought a mobile which has Sellotape down it from where they've had it attached to something and the mirror that's attached is all scratched.
If returning eBay items, it's normal for the refund to include outward postage but the buyer to pay return postage. A SNAD case will already count as a "defect" against the seller under eBay's new system, which counts the number of defective transactions rather than penalising multiple defects from the same transaction, so any feedback you leave won't actually make it much worse.0 -
Hi,
Quick update on this. Returned items for full refund as advised by seller to do, returned via my Hermes and paid extra for a signature.
Seller has today escalated case to eBay and they've decided in her favour and decided not to refund!
I'm out £56.29 for the original items and postage plus another £6 to my Hermes and eBay over the phone say there's nothing they can do.
Help please?!

Did you put the full tracking into the dispute console and does it confirm as delivered? If so phone ebay (don't use live chat- phone) and insist they over turn the decision as you have fulfilled your part of the bargain.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Hi Soolin,
Thanks for the reply phoned them again they can't overturn the case but can see the items have been delivered. They've said they will refund me from eBay direct in 5 days. So I'm pleased I rang them again.
I wonder how this has happened?! Everything I read on here always says the case for SNAD gets decided in the buyers favour.0 -
No wonder the ebay fees keep rising. You get your refund but the seller gets to keep the returned goods AND the money?
I wonder what the reasoning was behind that decision?"I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0 -
I'm not sure? The second person I spoke to said it had obviously been a mistake but they couldn't overturn the original decision or open a new case.
I left appropriate feedback for the seller - neutral saying not as described, didn't trash the stars either and this got removed as eBay decided the case in the seller favour.0
