What do people make of this?

The massive ideas in this video are mind blowing ! (if its true of course-cant see anything on hoaxslayer). Lots of downsides admittedly , but if it took a hold in US and spread, couldnt it alter way of life, and economies completely ?

In theory if it could stay 'pure' and be used only for the good of populations , it would be the type of thing Id love to invest in , I see it as the inevitable future , but ........capitalism, Government and 'purity' hand in hand?

The video is simplistic and puerile in part , but take a look, its a really interesting concept to anyone( like me) who has not come across solar being suggested for such innovative uses that can be so far reaching.

Can you summarise what this amazing invention is?

And what it's got to do with saving and investing?

I'm clearly not clicking that link, but I'm holding off clicking the spam button just yet.

Just click and watch it, you won't die or contract anything

I doubt it will take off as the infrastructure costs are gigantic

No, but I might contribute to the OPs click counter for referrals or something.

Yep. Replacing all roads with solar panels certainly isn't a cheap option by any means!
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

ok, I can understand that it can be dodgy opening links these days, but the video is self explanatory and you would immediately see the link between the ideas, and investing and savings. There is an investment link in one of the comments under this video, which I deliberately didnt post as encouraging people isnt my aim, and as I said, I did check with Hoaxslayer that it wasnt a known hoax.

Im not technically inclined , so my understanding is rudimentary , but its basically the manufacture of special surfaces made from recycled materials ,which are circuited and solar/light grabbing , and are strong enough to be used for flat surfaces such as roads, car parks ,sports arenas etc. The circuits mean they can for instance change the markings on a sports pitch from baseball to netball or whatever sport the space allows.

Road warnings wouldnt need to be painted, they would be instantly changeable through the circuits from a central control.

In theory it could mean cheaper electricity , no more impassible roads , all year outdoor sports areas, no dangerous ice on runways , carparks etc etc . To implement all this technology would create jobs, investment ops etc

I posted this not to encourage people to invest anything - merely because it grabbed my attention in that it could radically change the way countries work , and that will affect the economy .

I would have thought if its true and if it takes off, it was going to provide massive investment opportunities for fund managers , and in turn investers such as use the MSE site. Thats why I thought it would interest people here.
If Im out of line, then apologies.

I saw this the other day. It all looks nice in theory but as mentioned the cost of installing it and maintaining it is probably ridiculously prohibitive. The video doesn't address this issue so I imagine they're trying to gloss over that problem.

Not sure if you've heard of Thunderf00t on YouTube? He's taken a look and given it a good criticism. See:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H901KdXgHs4 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3ftXinT4jI

I'm with Thunderf00t on this one; it's a very flawed idea.

Agreed , but I guess it could be done slowly over time , starting with maybe one major highway. As time passed, technology would move on and make the implementation cheaper and more commonplace. Lets face it, who 50 years ago would have thought the ordinary person in threequarters of the world , would have their own personal computer?

Thanks for that link Puk , I look forward to reading it.
