Halifax £100 switching offer

I am quite interested in this offer and was thinking of switching my banking over to them.

When it says about switching a monthly credit of £750 over to them, does this mean that the current bank account must have over £750 in it to switch over or does it mean as long as I fund the account with £750 once it's opened?

Thanks :)

You have to have a regular monthly 750 or more(either wages or pension) being paid in to have this account.
Beware if you don't have 2 direct debits going in per month they withheld the
    5 reward payment.

Will a monthly credit of £750 from an external bank account meet this criteria ?

Yes, as long as you also pay out two direct debits from the Halifax account every month

I got in touch with them and they said as long as my account is funded by £750 in the first month and 2 direct debits are switched over then I'll qualify. £200+ will be transfered over through the switch and i'll just fund in the rest once the switch has happened :)

Do let us know how you get on with your £100. Did your salary get switched over too or did you just fund the a/c with £750?

I checked my account, got it yesterday. I don't get paid until the 23rd, though. I've swapped my salary and all of my DDs

My switch is in day 3. Can I now pay in the £750 or should I wait until the switching day.

    Thanks.

My HX switch is due to complete tomorrow but on checking my direct debits that have been switched over to HX I see the Tesco cc is set up fine but the other two payees are Barclaycard and in stead of showing their name in the recipients section it originally showed "direct debit cont" but both are now showing "direct debit rej". Does this mean the direct debits are rejected.

Barclaycard have confirmed in writing to me they are set up with the Nationwide so there should be no issue collecting payments.

A bit concerned because I do not want to fall foul of BC and result in a non payment.
