Cabbies Protest.

London cabbies are going to gridlock London tomorrow in protest over Uber operating in the city.

They really do not like a bit of healthy competition.

    Have they announced what time?

Edited to say, I see that it's 2pm, and in the west. Not a worry over here in the city then.

There is a level playing field.
As far as I know there is nothing to stop a London Taxi driver driving a Uber car. Never understood why they seem to consider themselves so special and in need of protection since the introduction of Sat Nav.

that may be the future and maybe unlicensed, unvetted drivers and cars may well be considered satisfactory

I believe all Uber drivers have to be licensed by TfL.

Minicab drivers in London are not unvetted.

I can understand where the cab drivers are coming from. Unfortunately I believe that little can be done to prevent the upcoming Zombie Robot Apocalypse of the Black Cab trade.

Be a shame, as black cabs are a useful way of traversing London.

Sat Navs alone will be crap!

The cabbies are fighting the wrong war.
