I've wanted a breadmaker for ages. Before I found MSE.com I would have bought a breadmaker on credit and paid way over the odds for it just to have it right away.

With my new MSE attitude, I decided to save up for one instead (using some ideas in the PIN money threads :D ), and it's lucky I did because I found a Morphy Richards breadmaker (the brand I wanted) at a car boot sale this morning for £2. £2!!!!

It's the 48230 fastbake model, it makes cakes and jam and all sorts of fancy stuff, and all it needed was a wipe down. I downloaded the manual from the Morphy Richards site and made my first loaf this afternoon.

    I am so happy I waited. :D

WTG, kerching! Hope you also gave the electrics the once over too. 2nd hand electricals need to safe the same as new (is why many charity shops don't bother with them).
:idea:I got an idea, an idea so smart my head would explode if I even began to know what I was talking about:idea:

PIN money was traditional money given to a wife by her husband to buy pins! (they were expensive then!!) Now it is any amounts of money that you can save through being careful, buying bargains etc that can be saved seperately for little treats for yourself.

Hope that gives a general idea of it?!
