utilita/scottishpower

need advice i was with utilta until jan dec my partner changed to scottish power we had smart meters installed with utilita until we got our scottish power meters installed we carried on using utilitas cards to top up gas and electric this was december now it is june still no meters my partner keeps receiving letters from scottish power saying he owes money to them i comtacted utilita who informed me to get in touch with sp for them to fill in a misdirected payments request rang sp up asking didnt get any sence so emailed a complaint we just want our money back from utilita th we uto top up there meyets even though i ended my contracts in dec jan have i got a case
