Experience of Money Dashboard???

Hi,

I've seen a site advertised via my Facebook page called Money Dashboard and I've been meaning to post here to see if anyone has tried it? Martin Lewis' own Facebook post actually reminded me lol

I'm not too sure about it's safety, what with entering all your passwords etc, can anyone share their experience with using it at all??

Thanks!!

=)

I've been using it for around a month and think it is fantastic. Their support team are also very responsive if you have a question.
  • I have been using Money Dashboard since December and find it very useful. I have not had any problems so far and it is pretty easy to set up and use.

You might like to try YNAB as an alternative. You get it free for a month and the free version is the same as the paid version except for a nag screen when you start it up. It requires dropbox and you get a screen to install that during the YNAB installation.

Basically you budget money in categories and sub-categories and deduct from those as you spend. The Android app or iPhone app makes that easy. I had the iPhone app and found that's where it really comes together.

After the free month it costs $60 for the current version and you have to pay again if they release a new version and indeed you want the new version.

It's actually a way to apply YNAB's budgeting philosophy so you need to learn that but it's not exactly rocket science.

Not applicable to me due to my method of budgeting and saving but it might be worth a try for you.

I use MoneyDashboard as well as YNAB. MD is very useful and once you get over the initial reticence about giving out login information, it is really quite useful. The login information that you do supply is salted and it is a read-only service. I understand that the Americans have had such aggregation services for a long time and that Europe lags behind. It is a really good place to get all your balances in one place rather than having to log into each bank in turn.
Debt Free! Long road, but we did it

I have found Money Dashboard very useful for keeping an eye on my monthly spending. The auto-tagging is a very useful feature.

They are currently running a referral scheme whereby the referrer receives a £10 Amazon voucher. I would be happy to split this 50:50 with anyone who would like to sign up and give it a try.

PM me if you are interested, and I'll send over my referral link.

  • Hi!

I need something LIKE MD, but with the ability to add foreign currency/ overseas accounts.

    Hope someone can help.

    Thanks

Open up a new thread next time rather than resurrecting an old one.

I don't think anything exists like this, they all only seem to cater to one country.
Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.

I don't use it anymore. I signed up to get cashback, and trusted the logins as I was logging in directly to the banks, not just giving my passwords to Money Dashboard.

I drifted away though. The few times I have logged in it seem to take rather a long time to update everything, and I'm only really interested in balances as all of my budgeting and reporting happens in YNAB.
