If you have an Apple platform, this works well.

I would check your bank T&C before using any account aggregation service, many inc HSBC have a statement such as you may be liable for any fraud on your account if you use an account aggregation service.
Maybe something to consider before you sign up.0 -

and if the fraud occurs as a result of using the aggregation service.
I think that the risk of fraud due to use of an account aggregation service is minimal if you keep your login information to yourself, and if you generally keep your PC etc secure. The same security measures should be used whether you log into your accounts individually or via an account aggregation service BUT you need to be extra careful when selecting an aggregator as you don't want to choose a fraudster's software.
It is interesting to note that First Direct, wholly owned by HSBC, provide an account aggregation service. They use the same technology as Yorkshire Building Society's service, which is accountunity. AFAIK, accountunity doesn't work with any of the budgeting packages but if you have lots of accounts it is brilliant for keeping on top of all the account balances and logging into some or all accounts in no time.
I have experimented with Money Dashboard which can pull data in from your accounts but it is way too slow to be of any use for me. It takes at least 3-5 minutes to download transactions for a single account - you could lose the will to live if you have half a dozen or more accounts. I also found Money Dashboard generally sluggish and not very userfriendly, so I am sticking to my MS Money (+accountunity) and manual reconciliation with bank and credit card accounts.0 -

No I was more meaning this statement: In their Banking Made Easy Book. End of the day you pays your moneys (so to speak) and takes your choice. A simple Excell spreadsheet if my account aggregation service...but that's me be lazy
not allowing anyone else to have or use your card, security devices, PINs or any of your security details (including for telephone banking) and not disclosing them to anyone, including the police, an account aggregation service and us, except your card number and other card details when using your card in connection with making payments, and your security details when registering for or resetting your telephone banking security details (but even then do not disclose in full);0 -
I have used Money Dashboard for quite a while, and have never had any problems. I find it updates pretty quick, typically about 30 seconds per financial institution, regardless of the number of accounts held with them. It also updates info automatically everyday, so when you use it you generally have access to your info immediately.
Very useful for tracking expenditure, would recommend...0 -
I downloaded Money Dashboard a few weeks ago but would like to know how good it is before putting all my data in, a demo account would be helpful. I have been looking for some app comparisons on the internet and most that come up are for US based apps. There are a few on the market now. Has anyone tried all of them that could give a rundown on pros/cons of each:eek:? Am waiting for the android version of Pariti to come out has anyone used it yet?0
