what is my neighbour up to?

This is a bit of an odd post but just wondering what could be happening nextdoor..... a very smartly dressed lady in a Merc visited last week, i saw her having a good peer round the garden and into ours and I heard her say, as she left, we'll leave it like that and if there's any thing you want to change let me know and I can come back. She was carrying a large, heavy looking bag.

Today she parked up outside took some pictures of the front of the house and left.

any ideas???

    Private sale?
Looking at letting the property out?
    Looking to secure finance?
Architect doing some work for a planning application?
    Double glazing sales person?
    Equity release company?

There are literally hundreds of possibilities. Why are you so interested in someone else's business?

I had the exact same situation, and i mean EXACTLY.
Very suspicious, so i did some digging.
Turned out that the neighbour was burying eastern european smack heads under the patio and was a high ranking official in the Mongolian special forces.
In the end he beat the c**p out of me and threatened to sort me out permanently unless i kept my nose out of his business.

I suggest you do the same.

They're probably in initial discussions with the producer of "Neighbours From Hell." :)

Oh my! I hope you called the Police right away!

Do you know anyone you can stay with until the area is secured?

They're planning to do away with their neighbours and bury them under the (new) patio.

Sorry to be so blunt, but it's not any business of yours or anyone else. I'm sure you wouldn't like your neighbour to be commenting on anything you do in your home, or who calls, or who you see.

But I get it, that you think the house is either going to be sold or rented or whatever.

That either makes you glad, or sad, depending on your relationship with said neighbour I reckon.

Round here, we tell either side if we are about to do work. That's just a courtesy, not necessary really, but good for a calm life. Nobody appreciates a jackhammer starting off at 8am if they haven't a clue what's going on!

Don't know if I'd tell em straightaway if I was considering selling though. Maybe before the board went up and it's on the website though.
