How many miles has the Peugeot 206 got on it?, In my opinion, miles is an important factor on a 206 of that age.
I understand the 1.1 Lx is about a group 3 insurance, & the 1.4 is group 4 or 5... so slightly cheaper to insure, especially for a newer driver0 -
Do you really need to get rid of your car? If it's reliable, you would be gambling that the replacement would be as reliable.
Power steering is mixed blessing, and is arguably not necessary in small light cars driven by averagely fit people. It's another thing to go wrong, and increases fuel consumption a bit.0 -
I've done a bit more research, tbh I don't think it's worth it0

She put it on gumtree Monday night for £995 and yesterday somebody made her an offer for £900! :-o So I'm guessing she took it!Is the Alto Japanese built?
I think so? Windscreen wipers/lights/indicators are on the opposite side to most cars, which I thought was a Japanese thing?
I think I may have had a lucky escape with this one. She mentioned a couple of worrying things (spending lots on MOT, bit of rust, lost key fob for central locking...) fair play if she got £900 for it! :rotfl:0 -
While not exactly dodging a bullet (the Alto is a better car than the 207), you really shouldn't trade cars or houses with family or friends. It will end in tears!
The logical, for right hand drive, set-up of indicators on the right was a UK car feature, dropped to fall in line with our European cousins.0
