Good luck on your test!!0 -
Good luck with the test. But, if you pass, remember that all the things they emphasized during your lessons were found out the hard way. Usually by someone doing something stupid and paying the price for it.
Thus, there is no need for you to emulate mistakes that have already been made.
You may save money by not using the train, but the cost of buying, insuring and running a car is not cheap.I can afford anything that I want.

I've already got my car - a little Citroen C1.
£20 per year road tax, good mpg, a sibling that works at a citroen garage that gets family and friends discount on repairs, and my OH has 12 years no claims so put him as a secondary driver on my insurance which brought my quote down ~£500!hgotsparkle wrote: »That is very true, but I imagine the possibility of being late due to late trains/servic down is a saver there too.
Oh it will help immensely. A train derailed at my changing station which threw all my plans in the air.Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

You are looking at the premium for a learner.
Check what that premium will be after you pass your test (they may not even insure you - many insurers happy to cover a learner won't insure a newly qualified full licence holder)Is that the quote for a full licence?
To the above posters, she said brought it down [by] ~£500, not brought it down to £500!What will your verse be?

Whatever her current premium is, my point is that it will increase after she passes her test, and it is possible she will then have to cancel the current policy and buy a new one.
Just preparing her for the shock of motoring costs after the end of the euphoria of getting a pass0
