Seems like nothing but my over payment of £25 went over today. Little and often seems to work for some so we shall see. I really should stay away from Rightmove though as I keep seeing houses!!!!
    No....I shall resist!
Great to see so many people on here really making a huge dent lately. Well impressed as you will all be done before any rate rises hit us!

A £25 OP is still an achievement! Well done you!

    Thank you!

I love the fact that we get so much out of a new goal....it's like fresh bed sheets! (ok so am a little weird)

Fingers crossed that I can do it as this is really aggressive for us and will be a massive effort, but should be worth it.

The break will let us save some holiday funds too ;)

Noo - I absolutely love clean sheet night - always look forward to fresh bed sheets!!

Large over payment now unlikely but still keeping positive about my little payments.....why do other things just keep cropping up????

Also, less worry with Big lenders reducing their rates at the moment. What to make of this I don't know....

Decided to cancel my lottery subscription which costs me around £120 per year.....i have played for the last 4 years and probably won £20 in total:mad:
I have changed my standing order for over payments to include this amount as realistically I will win the amount plus the same again in interest off my mortgage:T
Ok, so I might miss the big one on the lottery but if I don't check the numbers I will never know...and at least the mortgage is guaranteed!!
I amended the amount with the bank but they took the original amount plus the amended amount! Therefore, thats £60 overpaid. Won't complain as I can afford it this month so I shall leave it be. Just paying £25 off last month reduced my term by a month once my normal payments were recalculated. Great!!

They really do!I thought that smaller amounts would be less exciting but I can't wait to get my overpayment letter again at the end of the month!

Excitement! Just had a letter off S@ntander re my last overpayment which has knocked another month off.......but to my joy, my efforts this year so far (including over payments made during previous diary) have knocked a year off altogether and I am very close now to being below £86000!!!!! Off to change the signature....

    Balance at OCT 2014 - £86,003.86
