    Danish oil is excellant if applied correctly. The problem is most people don't know how to use it.

    The first couple of coats should be thinned down,applied with a brush and then just before it starts going sticky you wipe off the excess. Then when its dry it need de-nibbing (sanded with flour paper). Do ths with 4 coats and it will be a good,consistant,hard wearing finish. Then re coat once a month for 6 months and the jobs a good en....

    Danish oil is not a "brush it on and leave it to dry" finish.
