NU's personal pension is about to be revamped with a large number of funds added. Existing plans will have access to the new funds. The information I have so far is that it will number a few hundred. That doesnt make it the best range but it makes it more than enough for most.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0

Ooh, that's interesting Dunston... I'm going to ask some more questions related to this in the Pensions section0

I've had a few of:
What Investment
Money Observer
Investor's Chronicle
I think if I was going to get anything regularly I might go for
Money Observer
and The Economist (but not every week, I couldn't keep up)
I've seen a publication called Money Management, but don't know what it's like as it's always been wrapped in plastic, and with a price over £6 I decided to manage my money by leaving it in my pocket. Anyone know if it's any good?0 -
Once an 'opportunity' appears in these magazines, I'd take that a sell signal...;)
DYOR, the secret of making money is the price you buy at, not the price you sell at.0 -

It's aimed at IFAs. Useful if you want an insight into the IFA mindset but not really relevant for ordinary investors, especially at that price. Similar content can be seen on FT Advisor.com.0 -
if you want an insight into the IFA mindset
.......must be a pretty slim magazine then :rotfl::rotfl:
:rotfl: :rotfl: boom boom !!!!'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -
It depends what you want from a magazine. As RayWolfe said, the FT and Citywire is all you need for up to date information (and a few RSS feeds). The Economist is great for analysis of macro issues, but can be a bit heavy going (I couldn't keep up every week either nicko33). Shares or Investors Chronicle is good for individual stocks but I think there's a bit of an overload of things to choose from.
I tend to read MoneyWeek to get an overview of the markets, it's easy to read and has broad content (individual shares/economic issues and funds etc).0
