one person can't make easy jet flight

Hi,
One of my party can't make a group booking for a flight next week.
What is the best way to go about cancelling the booking for the one individual?
I'm not fussed about a refund but don't want to incur any bogus charges.
Any advice on this greatly appreciated.

Don't cancel, just tell them at check in that the person isn't travelling.0

Thanks for getting back to me.
If I were to check in advance online and not check the other person in, would this be an issue?0 -
Not at all, you just check in the people who's flying. You don't need to cancel o do anything else.
You can claim back the taxes for that flight, but this does have a cost.0 -
Or check the other person in and have the spare seat0

There's no cost for doing this.0 -
EasyJet does not charge an admin fee for refunding APD.0

I have had to check both of us in.
According to this:
support.easyjet.com/ case-4057
I will have to pay to cancel the booking. As we are both checked in, can I just proceed as normal and have him not turn up? Although he is checked in he wouldn't have been scanned through so will not hold up the plane.0 -
There will be no problem at all - many people check-in but then don't take a flight for whatever reason.
You don't need to actively cancel or do anything - you don't need to say anything to anyone either.
Once the flight has happened, then you can ask easyjet for the APD (tax) back for any tickets bought where the person didn't fly - unlike most airlines, they don't charge an administration fee for this (though you do need to ask them for it).0
