Internal flights - ID for children

Hi all,
I'm travelling from Glasgow to Heathrow in July and i haven't had to do an internal flight with my son before so checked BA's site for the rules on ID required as i thought i wouldn't need anything.
I was correct - taken from the site;
Children under the age of 16 years old do not require identification to travel within the UK.
Passports are not required for journeys to/from UK to Eire, although it is advisable to bring some form of photo identification with you in case of checks at the arriving airport.
What Photo ID can you provide for a child? I know it's not required but does anyone actually get asked for something eg. random checks or an error somewhere? I can't think of anything my boy has apart from a pretend driving license from Legoland.. is that any good? :rotfl:

How old is he? Some councils do passes for 12-15 year olds to prove they're entitled to child fares on public transport - think the one they do here costs about £5.0

You won't get asked for any sort of ID, don't worry.0

Well: you are flying to Heathrow, not Ireland.0
