Is the fuel economy similar for both cars?0

Out of the two it'd have to be the Suzuki. If you can find a SZ3 it comes with aircon.
Fabia 1.2 3cylinder.... no thanks!Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0 -
Suzuki...
0-60: 12.3 secs
Fuel economy: 57mpg
Fabia...
0-60: 16.5 secs
Fuel economy: 51 mpg
Figures from http://www.carbuyer.co.ukAlways try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0 -
better resale price with the skoda0

Here's what Honest John's real mpg page has to say about it.
Engine Official MPG Real MPG Avg. Real MPG %
1.2 12V 47.9–51.4 mpg 41.8 mpg 87%
And the Suzuki
Engine Official MPG Real MPG Avg. Real MPG %
1.2 56.5 mpg. 50.4 mpg 89%
On the face of it, I'd go for the Suzuki. The tax is cheaper, mpg better and I personally find the low end skoda models a bit nasty0 -
Thanks for replys, just bought the Suzuki..eek
Next question what's the best way to pay, deposit is on debit card, and planning to pay cash from current account, but should I put any on credit card for any additional protection? There is a 2% charge to pay the whole balance on credit card! but should I split the final payment?
Thanks again0 -
A small amount on the credit card, then the remainder as you wish..
2%? If its 2%, I shall take my car buying elsewhere...0 -

If your buying brand new, what additional protection are you looking for?"Dream World" by The B Sharps....describes a lot of the posts in the Loans and Mortgage sections !!!0 -
Skoda being VAG will definitely have a better resale value. Japanese cars go for next to nothing a few years after they bought.
Saw a Mitsubishi Colt with all the bells and whistles on an 08 plate with 62k miles on the clock for £2600 on Saturday. Next to it, was an 02 plate Volkswagen Lupo SDi E (base model, no central locking, no electric windows) with 69k miles for £2400.0 -
Additional protection under section 75 should anything go wrong...is that wise?0
