How much is the kindle unlimited subscription lir? I am thinking about it, but our local library do ebook lending which is totally free. The only thing is, you're limited by what they have and if someone else has checked it out.
I am exhausted today. I fell asleep on the sofa earlier, but got woken up by DH and Dumbass dog.

Its um, I think either seven. Ninety nine or eight ninety nine. And the selection is far from in exhaustive.
I set up a wish list a couple of months ago and thought when I had a good balance I'd do it and then unsubscribe. Then build up again and so on.
It might be worth having a browse, setting up a wish list and seeing how much value you'd get from it.0 -
You have a blog? I seem to have missed that somewhere along the way. Does it take a lot of discipline to do it regularly enough? I don't think my life would be interesting enough for anyone else to want to read.
Whilst talking about self discipline, I've decided I'm spending too much time surfing electronic objects and not enough time reading proper books etc or doing other things. Maybe due to now having to use a computer more during the day, I think it's bad for me and one of the reasons why my brain is fizzing, my concentration is poor and sleep is less refreshing than used to be the case. So I am going to attempt to stop checking online every time my bum hits a chair, and try to turn all laptops/phones/notebooks etc off by 9.30 pm. Watch this space - it may be one of those resolutions that lasts less than a day.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
It has about 4 posts, so I'm really not that disciplined. It's not interesting either as my life is pretty boring these days.
Sounds like an interesting idea elsien. There is some research that shows that screen time can lead to disturbed sleep so setting a time limit might be a good idea.
It's almost 9.30 so night night, sleep tight.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Elsien you could definitely blog about Gitdog he's such a character!0

CM I did read (and enjoy) your blog but didn't leave a comment (sorry, it was speed reading in between meetings and other diversions at work. The 'diversions' today included returning to the office from being a lady who lunches, to find that someone had put the dishwasher on in the staff kitchen and it had flooded the whole place. It seems no-one has used it since we moved in - exactly 2 years ago today!)
I thought of you today, elsien, because I've been on a DoLS course todayWhat were you on?
Also I've been meaning to say an enormous WELL DONE to mellymoo on her improved food consumptionAnd - ha ha - I'd better say the same to tea for her oral biscuit rescuing skills

haha JM, its not mandatory. Someone did leave a comment shortly after I mentioned it, so wondered if it was someone in here. I was being nosey.
elsien, you should definitely write the adventures of gitdog or gitdog's guide(s) to.... I love reading those posts.

Good Morning all! That was the worse nights sleep ever! I got tired at 5pm so went for a nap and tossed and turned and sneezed and coughed my way until now. I was also freezing cold! I had pj's, WaSp's dressing gown, a duvet and a blanket over me and i was still freezing! Stupid viruses!
I am now giggling every 2 minutes at the biscuit incident. Made my morning.
It is still dark but I am sure it is going to be cold and windy with rain and/or snow today, right? Right??!
Oh, and the neighbour upstairs was unceremoniously carted away by 5 police officers at midnight. Again. Cue an hour of complete panic and hiding under the bed clothes. He didn't go quietly either. This tends to happen every couple of months because as he admits to WaSp he is either too drunk to get to his probation interview or he turns up and threatens everyone so they remove his right to attend and drag him back to court. That small cottage way up north is looking more and more tempting.

It was wind and rain storms here last night. I slept in a pirate ship on the high seas, and slept in the boughs of trees like a bird or a fairy, rocked around and loving it, and flew through dark wet skies while it buffetted my bedroom windows.
Sadly, I've woken to find its done worse to the roof and we have a few leaks. :mad:0
