How wonderful! I've just logged on, not expecting it to come today
Someone did advise me to put some tissues in - I didn't, in the end, but it would obviously have been a good idea! :rotfl:
I would have loved to see your face when you saw the size of the parcel!!!
For the lurkers:
WaS mentioned that she loved hampers (and I think she said she'd never had one). We thought this would be a good idea for her birthday. I PM'd everyone who had posted on this thread recently, inviting them to send me stuff if they wanted to take part. Some people sent 'things' and some sent messages of goodwill.
I warned WaS that ONE PERSON had sent me a parcel to send to her (which was true) which might not fit through the letterbox (it ended up being quite big!)
NOW you understand why we've been so excited about the parcel!Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -

Evening all.
Quick change of subject. I've just been reading in the paper about something called Star Wards (can't post a link, you'll have to google) Just wondering if it's something anyone has practical experience of, and how much of a difference it can make? Looks like it could depend on staff buying into it, which can be an issue. Thought I'd share it anyway, as it was started by a woman after an inpatient admission and its an interesting read.
(Must start to get to grips with using this tablet properly).
Here's a link - I found about this at the weekend! http://www.theguardian.com/society/2014/nov/28/-sp-buddy-mental-health-treatment-marion-janner-star-wards-dogEx board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
