I doubt he / she could have opted for anything other than standard tarrif for a month?
If they spoke to Npower why did they not ask for an opening read? Can't put all the blame on the customer whose real complaint appears to me to be that the standard tarrif is so disproportionately expensive.
Is that morally right? Probably not. Is there anything you can do about it? Again, probably not I'm afraid, they've not broken any rules here (even if that perhaps shouldn't be the case)0
