Vodafone Bill
My son kindly added his brother, sister & mum's phones to his Vodafone account. :jThis has worked well for a long time, that is until now.
The problem started when he moved into his own home. Due to the move he had contacted 0845 numbers for services to his home. This made his bill a lot higher than past months and he was not able to pay in full, so they cut services to all phones.
I contacted Vodafone to see if they would accept payment for each phone bill separately. They were happy to accept payments BUT they said the lines would not reinstate services until the full amount is paid or a monthly payment plan is set up by the account holder. When I pointed out that we were willing to make a payments and proposed to take over our own bills I was informed it was like a UK mortgage and we could not take over our bills.:(
I then asked for a breakdown of each phone line to find out we were all charged for a whole month when we could not access full services which totaled over £100!!
We are now worried that the bill is getting larger without full service.
Please can anyone advise us what is our best plan of action?

What a stupid thing to do! '18185' offer 020 access number to call from mobiles and charge 5p+3p/min for 0845 numbers....

You were informed incorrectly - that is a norm for Voda's inept telephone CS. They do allow a contract to be taken over by other person if this person passes their credit check. When I pointed out that we were willing to make a payments and proposed to take over our own bills I was informed it was like a UK mortgage and we could not take over our bills.:(
Yes, they keep charging the monthly price, that is a norm for all networks.I then asked for a breakdown of each phone line to find out we were all charged for a whole month when we could not access full services which totaled over £100!!:mad:0 -
Hi RedFigaro,
Thanks for making me aware of this.
So I can take a closer look at things, ask your son to email me with his details via the link in our profile here.
All he'll need to do is copy and paste the link into his web browser and it'll take him to the Contact us form on our website. To make sure it reaches me, he'll also need to quote the code WRT135 - MSE in the subject line.
Once sent, he'll receive an automated reply with a reference number. Post back with this and I’ll check I've received it.
Kind regards,
Lee
