    Hi I'm in the same boat as you and due to start DMP at same time as you and have thought that too.

    I guess if it happens we just have to pay what we owe!

    Another question which may sound silly.

    How do I make a token payment? Online with my brand new shiny no frills debit card or via a postal order from the Post Office?

    SC said that I don't need to make any as they should be up and running by the end of the month.

    If your really want to, then one pound postal orders are the order of the day :)

    Then you can include them in with your letter to your creditors about your DMP ;)

    Although, with the post office fee, currently 50p, £1,50 in total, its cheaper, and easier to ask creditors for there online bank details and pay that way.:D

    I spoke to Step Change this morning (superbly helpful as ever) and they didn't really see the point as all my creditors will get paid on 1st July however they said that I could just write to each of them and let them know that I've entered a DMP.

    Will do this, this week except for Littlewoods and Very as I've heard they will call me a lot. I've changed my landline number. I dread them calling.
