But then omit £6.67 per EPC for lodgement, and then training costs to meet the mandatory CPD requirements, membership fees, equipment costs, travel costs etc etc.

8-10 EPCs a day is a lot - unless the properties are really close I can't see how you can do more than 1 EPC every 1.5 hrs with all the paperwork involved. If he is doing 8-10 a day he is either working silly hours or not doing them properly...

That is the same for every energy assessor.

All of the energy assessors we use, use a tablet to input all the data so there is no paperwork required. They complete the report at the property and comes straight through to the office.

Yes its the same, but the volume of EPCs you're talking about is excessive compared to most energy assessors. If they're completing the EPC at the property then they are not undertaking the post visit review and reflection, which you have to demonstrate within the site notes for any audit.

All it shows is that you can make more money by cutting corners. You can't do 10 epcs properly in a working day (8.30AM - 5.30PM) every day. And in winter you lose hours due to poor light where you can't do the external inspection.

I'm sure this depends on the individual assessor and how competent they are. I use a few assessors all doing these numbers and still operating after almost 2 years since I have known them
