I got my EPC from Nationwide, and they were fine.

I'm in the South, so EPC prices were much higher if I just got a local company. I therefore did a search, found Nationwide, and they did a single price for anywhere in the country.

A local person arrived to do the EPC, and I got it cheaper than if I had booked him directly. He was prompt, polite, did the EPC quickly. No problems.

If you read what you have posted you can see you are the one touting for business you actively support this company, in loads of other posts and threads you are suggesting people use this company and not look elsewhere for local assessors.Your advice is wrong and outdated.

Are you part of this company, because it seems like it!

Not once have I mentioned any one company to use, I have reported you for breaching guidelines for actively touting for this business time and time again you clearly have a relationship with them.

I am a retired accountant, I have never worked for Nationwide nor for any other company even remotely connected with EPCs!

The fact is your advice is to go to them,.no one else. I have never touted for business on this website I have given loads of advice based on upto date experience in a business which relies heavily on these assessments. I don't even sell these assessments I buy them so I don't know what I'd be touting for anyway.

Yes to better service, but definitely no to cheaper.

EPC panels will promise the customer a low price, and then try to offer it to local assessors at a fraction of the cost. Local to me assessors are charging £60 for a small house - the EPC panels are charging £50, and then trying to get the same local assessors to do it for £25....

I'm qualified to do EPCs but can't do them anyway near as cheaply as £60. But I still get calls from EPC panels asking if I will work for less than minimum wage, and then pay petrol and lodgement costs from this.

The payment to the assessor should be 45 and no less, this is a fair amount for the work required. One of our assessors managed to take 80000 charging this price just from epcs because it is reasonable .

This is less or equal to what the panels charge and gives a better service using a local person rather than someone who is paid very little to drive a long way .

The epc is important to show what is available from schemes like the home improvement fund and ECO and peopleare beginning to look at this and they need to be done properly by some one who is working for a price they are happy with which realistically can only be done if they are local.

£80k a year gross, charging £45 a pop is basically 5 EPCs a day for every single 365 days of the year.

    Hats down...

He did 8-10 a day and 7/8 weeks holiday. Energy Assessors made a lot of money last year with ECO
