I think people call yams sweet potatoes and vice versa ....but they are quite different. Generally sweet potatoes have a thinner browny orange skin and an orange flesh. Yam are a dark brown in colour and usually have a white flesh.

Is yam another name for sweet potato ?

If yes I eat them regularly Jacket Potato , mixed in mash with with normal potato and also in soups :)

No, it not tweets. yams are big with a brown hairyish skin and white on inside.

they don't really have a flavour but i like them. eaten on the side like potatoes though.

Neither just looking at different things to grow, which would normally be expensive to buy in supermarkets. :)

Good Afternoon, I d love to tell you of my predicament at the bootsale this morning but I'm afraid it would be tmi. Let s just say the moral of this tale is don t go to a bootsale the day after taking an ex lax small piece of choc.

Imagine me one end of the field to where my car was , running like hell to the sanctuary of my car with one bag in front of me and one at the back of me but failing miserably trying to hold on. Imagine the worst scenario possible and you d be right , and I had a dress on  Poor Susie I didn t feel very sexy then I can tell you :o:D

    Oh bless your heart.
