Re growing, people at my allotments are growing globe artichokes.mi don't like them so won't be following suit. They are a huge plant considering what you get.
Another lady grows "exotics" (according to her plot neighbours) of squashes. There isn't a spare inch of visible soil on her plot. It's very busy but looks totally fab.
Today I've planted more tatoes, beetroot, cabbages and cauliflower. Yesterday I planted my grape vine, in the week will be dwarf beans that my mum has been doing for me.
Next year, I'll be moving my raspberry canes, redcurrants and blackcurrants.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. I had an ongoing battle with them for over 10 years in the end I phoned my MP and got an appointment. He was really helpful and took my case on. It got resolved within a month. Plus you get lovely posh letters from the Houses of Parliament. It is well worth involving them as they go to a different department to sort it. Good luck xx
Thanks DD. We have involved our MP twice. She was really supportive. The first time the issue just went away. Then Mr Cameron decided to call in all debts with menaces and they just sent back a three page letter explaining why I was wrong without showing me why they are right. They now say the case is closed and we have to pay. You are right though, the letters from the House of Commons were really cool!
Thanks also to Fairclaire for your suggestions. We have requested all the paperwork. The discrepancy is because DH and I were both made redundant at Xmas time and Tax Credits stopped being paid by employer, but the thieving , rotton, scoundrel has claimed he was still paying us. National Insurance office has accepted and credited our NI accounts but HMRC have obviously paid someone, and want their money back!!!!!!0
