Morning all
for us the mood swings and possibly the nerves were just after christmas...and continued until about easter....this probably coincided with his offer places for A levels which were secured around that time.
since then its been reasonably calm but its probably me who has been more worried.
DS1 picks up and stores information well and as such sometimes this can be his downfall as he assumes a little too much that he knows it....and at times this has really flustrated me with his lack of willingness to do revision.
His predictions are all A's and above but even his tutors have said that because he on occaision can come across too confident, those will drop to B's ....still good but not his full potential.
He's come out of most of the exams saying they've been ok so we shall see....
Exam stress can be such a minefield because it effects different people in different ways....anyone with a teen at the moment has my upmost respect and sympathy...frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

Change is always unsettling and usually even more so for someone on the autistic spectrum so the first thing to do is try not to panic. It sounds as if you feel that by changing your working hours then you will have to change everything else in your life too and I can understand that is very difficult for you. try to remember that sometimes, once we have got used to a set of changes, they can actually work out to be better than we'd feared. Sometimes, we even find that once the dust settles we prefer the new ways. ( shortened)
What a lovely helpful post ( I would love to be able to type quickly and correctly)
I agree with treading lightly and asking for the reasons which may be operational which can make a difference
Many thanks for your kind words:D - unfortunately you're wrong about me typing correctly though as I managed to miss a capital letter at the start of a sentence!
:o:o This means I'd be hard pushed to qualify for Level 3 English in a SATs paper! (usually achieved by children aged around 8-9) :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Morning all
Also waiting for my fish finger party pack to arrive :j, am intruiged to find out what will be inside it, apart from fish fingers - enough beer to keep people topped up for the football would be nice
My DS1 finished his AS levels yesterday, so a bit of breathing space from exams for a while. The way his exams worked out was that his school sixth form returned from study leave on the day of his last exam, so he had precisely 25 minutes from the end of yesterday's Physics AS until he started back at normal lessons
Have a great day everyone, lovely sunny day here at the moment :T:T
ps thanks to OP who posted about Ocado last week - I signed up, just in time for the grape glitch. My first Ocado shop was here by 7am this morning, my children are delighted with all the packs of 5 for £2 grapes :beer::beer:
I now have visions of all these courier companies carrying prepacked boxes of fish fingers around the country today.....crickey I hope the weathers not that hot!
No clues on the FB page as to whats also in the pack...whilst I would love beer, sauce, rolls and the things that actually would contribute to the party....i fear its more balloons and bunting!
still never look a gift horse in the mouth...we have 15 of both sons friends popping in on saturday to help them celebrate the end of exams and no doubt clear our freezer of a few other bits and pieces!frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
