Glass & CAP price guide are trade only, by annual subscription, so you'll need to refer to Parkers/What Car, etce.

They are ALL only guides - no guarantees, so be cautious when looking at them.

Just in case it is, it's an S reg Clio, only done 53k, 1.2, 3dr. I'm looking to replace it with an approx 5 ish year old Clio, also 1.2 with PAS.

    Any ideas?

Average miles of 10,000 on a 5 year old car = 50,000 miles.

Is it really worth getting rid of your car which you know, and purchasing one with a history you don't, spending around £3500 on the replacement. You'd be lucky to get £1300 for your car.

I'd keep the current one if you have no problems with it
  • Wow, old thread, but this may help someone.

Agree on all points, but I'd hate to sell or be sold a dud.

Plus if you owned it from new, and you had it serviced regularly, you know that it's been done and service history isn't faked and it isn't clocked.

Think if the new car is really worth the cost of the new one minus what you're likely to get for the one you have. 5 years newer and PAS on the same type of car aren't all that much of an upgrade really. Keep your tyres pumped up to recommended pressure and the steering should be as light as you'll ever need it on a clio.

Edit: Hmmm an old thread revived, never noticed :D
