Formal Demand - Help please

Hi there,
I have been reading through all the information about this for days now, but its all very confusing to me!
I have received a formal demand for overstaying in a car park allowing a free hour of parking.
I have copied and pasted the appeal you have on the sticky thread, but was just getting a bit confused about the contractual fee bit in it. Wondering if i can still send this as standard even though its a free car park?? Don't want to look stupid! lol Also the signage bit, how do i know if they comply with the code of practice?
cheers for any help out there!

all the info you need is in the NEWBIES sticky thread, including the appeal template , just send it "as is"
doesnt matter if you understand the signage or any other part, you dont have to prove anything , as you are defending your side
they send out the pcn invoice , so its their job to prove their case , including any proof their signage is valid and meets the CoP0 -
Ok, breathe
I assume this is the. NTK? If so then send the template as it stands for a free car park. Who is the Parking Company?
You don't need to know if their signs comply, they probably don't. The onus is on them to prove they do comply. Which is often quite difficult. Include all the information in the template and sit back and wait for a rejection. The aim is to get a POPLA code out of them so you can the. Send in the winning appeal.
If you wonder why we like you to win at at POPLA, not only do you get to pay nothing, it costs the parking company £27 a time. If they cancel it before you go to POPLA, that will be great for you, but sadly won't hit them in the pocket.
So get sending appeal as stands and sit back and enjoy the ride.Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. When you post, take it to post office and get a free proof of posting. Don't send recorded. what was the date of the so called parking event ?
who is the PPC ? (or is it from a debt collector ?)
is it in england or wales , or the other 2 regions ?0 -
Its from Armtrac in England.
They have sent me the letter after the 56 days ive read its meant to be, was more like 70 days after the charge was issued.0 -
in which case a late receipt means pofa 2012 cannot apply
just send the template letter with free certificate of posting at the PO0 -
I'll get on to that!
